Though skeptics laugh heartily at this question, some people do pay money to organizations to help them if they feel that there is something spooky going on. Some people believe that investigators can also be put in danger by the spirits themselves. But that is going to depend on your belief. If you are researching or trying to hunt down an unknown species of wildlife you could be injured outdoors or attacked by an animal. So it does have its fair share of dangers.
If I want to research paranormal activity at a deserted location, do I need to contact the law?
There is a huge difference between what you think is a deserted location and what the law things is deserted. Just because someone does not live there does not mean you could not get arrested for trespassing. Before you begin any paranormal monitoring of a location you have to do some research. First you will need to find the true owner of the property and get his or her permission. Then you have to contact the local law enforcement agency, show them your permission and let them know you are going to be there. That way they know who is on the property and what you are doing.
What should I do if I find proof of paranormal activity?
If you find concrete proof of paranormal activity the first thing you need to do is provide accurate documentation. You may want to let a paranormal group take a look at your findings and then let them perform studies themselves. If everything turns out to be valid then you may want to contact a scientific journal or a newspaper. Yes, there are still going to be skeptics but if you have concrete proof then those skeptics may be swayed and they may not be. There are even some skeptics that have put up a million dollar reward for people to prove that psychic and paranormal phenomenon actually exists and can be proven. Are all sightings and haunting bad?
According to paranormal groups not all sightings and haunting are bad. In the case of a cryptozoologist a new sighting and confirmation is a great thing. And the same goes with some occultists and ghost hunters. They believe that some haunting and spirits are just lost souls looking for a way out of the earthly plane. It really all depends on what you believe.
Why is there no concrete evidence of paranormal activity from famous groups?
By its very definition paranormal does not stick with any scientific method. That is why there is no concrete evidence that supernatural activity truly exists.
